Thank you to Amanda from REIM who delivered an e-safety workshop to all the Primary 6 and Primary 7 children yesterday. The workshop focused on the positive and negative aspects of internet use, knowing what personal information is and the importance of keeping this private, understanding the importance of password protection, recognising who is a trusted adult and understanding the dangers of chatting to strangers online. The children also had the opportunity to discuss the appropriate use of Social Media sites and Cyber-Bullying. They really enjoyed this informative workshop and the reinforcement of the need to be internet smart to ensure their online safety. Thanks also to those parents who took the time to log onto the parent workshop facilitated by REIM last night , we hope you found this informative and worthwhile in supporting your children to stay safe online.
